We need young people to help us understand their social media experiences

Can you help us understand the connection between social media and mental health?

As part of the #So.Me project at the University of Manchester, we’re looking for young people aged 13-17 to take part in a research study to better understand young people’s daily social media experiences. How young people use social media and its role in young people’s mental health and wellbeing are not very well understood. We want to change this!

Young people can sign up to take part in this study between March - June 2024. Everyone who takes part with receive a thank you e-voucher.

Who can take part?

We are looking for young people who are:

  • aged 13-17

  • a UK resident

  • use an android phone

  • use social media apps on their phone
